3M Force Majeure – Current situation

On October 29, 2021, the Flemish Environmental Inspectorate issued an order that required 3M to immediately suspend certain manufacturing operations at its facility located in Zwijndrecht, Belgium. Diverse 3M™ acrylic foam tapes as well as 3M™ Dual Lock could therefore no longer be produced in sufficient quantities.

3M has now announced in an official information that an alternative site has been identified and successfully qualified to manufacture the affected raw material for the automotive products. Qualification of the alternate contingent site was conducted in accordance with IATF16949 and ISO-9001 standards.

On the basis of this statement, we hope that the situation will normalise soon. We are currently clarifying the situation and will inform you as soon as we have concrete results.
